I've been on the ksmjaguar team for over twenty years and in that time, I've seen not only big changes in the Jaguar product, but also massive changes in the motor repair industry. When I started out, I was learning all about the mighty XK engine and we would have two or three in progress at any given time. Now, I spend an increasing amount of time dealing with diagnostic problems and electronic repairs.
Today, family life takes up the majority of my time outside of work, what with kids Saturday sports and household duties but I do take time out to actively participate in restoring some of New Zealand's remaining steam locomotives. In some ways similar to my day-to-day work, in others, a world apart. In a sense, no problem is too big or too complicated. I love the satisfaction of achieving results, of overcoming the most technically challenging problems, the sense of pride in knowing that I have succeeded where others have not and that each new success is another notch in the belt of our reputation. |
